Today was the day that marked the one year anniversary of the major natural disaster that struck Japan (even though it was yesterday in Japan). I can still remember when I was watching the news as the water came speeding in. It left goosebumps on my body. As I've stated before, I used to live there and I loved it very much. It suprised many how the people cooperated in the wake. Though the road to recovery will be very long (believe me, I know) I know that Japan will come back better. I hope to come back and visit soon~! :3
Thi is just a small post I'd like to dedicate to the people of Japan. ^o^
But...as a sidenote, I'd also like to say to my ultimate bias, "Stay strong. I know I can't support very well from here, but I shall keep trying."
Peace out~!

Changmin = Peach
I know the title of this post is a little weird, but it is for good reason. I just found out that Changmin is going to be casted in a Japanese movie! \(^o^)/ And his hame is Momo! Fans on my Twitter list were really spazzing about the name of his character. Now, some of you may be wondering why they'd be spazzing over his name. 'Momo' in Japanese means 'peach'.
Peaches are really tasty! I like peach soda too. XD But anyway, peaches are cute, right? They're sweet and fuzzy. Well, it kinda really doesn't fit Changmin if you all know how his personality is. Thus fans are really interested by the name of his character. I hope I made some sense. ^^;; Anyway, if you want to read more about his role and what the movie is essentially about, take a look at this link: Changmin's Role in Japanese Movie. Here is a pic of what his character may look like.
My goodness, he's so handsome~! >///< Can you see how excited I am? *o* But since it's in Japan, I won't be able to go to a theater to see it. I still wish him (as well as the rest of the actors) the best of luck! And I will eventually get to see it~!

2011's End and 2012's Beginning
I should've done this at the end of December, but look at this...IT'S ALREADY JANUARY!!!!
Very much has happened in 2011. It not only ranges from my fan girl life, but also in reality. From war/revolution to really bad natural disasters to economical issues we're still facing. It was a really rough year. Of course the revolutions in the Middle East were a big topic. Every now and then, I'd hear about them on the news and I'd wonder and hope that the civilians over there that are just minding their own business would be okay. The death of a few dictators also spread across the news. The death of the N. Korean leader was the one I paid more attention to because I've become quite attached to S. Korea through it's Kpop. I'm always wishing for peace between the north and south, but I also know it's got a long way to go. The 'end of the world' scare was another noteworthy event of 2011. Some people actually thought it would end. I was a bit afraid, but we're still here, so God isn't finished with us just yet. ^_^ One of the big pieces of news from last year that REALLY caught my attention was the triple threat of the major earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear problems in Japan.
It totally shocked me and I was really sad. :( I used to live there and it gave me goosebumps just to see the water come on land like it did. Since it was really late over here when it occurred, I stayed up until about 3am watching everything about it. I switched between CNN, Fox News, and others. If I only had NHK at the time I could have gotten the feed straight from Japan since it was based there. Truthfully, I was worried about the Japanese artists that I was fond of. Some were hurt, some were reported 'missing' for a while, and some lost belongings. But I also worried about the citizens, and I had hoped that there wouldn't be too many casualties. In the wake of the disaster, I had heard that people were suprised at how the Japanese acted and coordinated. ^_^ But I was also annoyed at how some people had said mean things about them. If I could, I would still love to go back. People just don't know how beautiful of a country it is until they see it with their own eyes~!
Aside from that, another really bad thing was the Joplin, MO tornado.
I do admit that I really didn't watch all the coverage about this like I did for Japan. And this even happened in my own country! But I felt bad because I used to live in the infamous 'Tornado Alley' as well. Every spring, I worried myself about something like this happening. So far, I've been blessed, but I do hope that we won't have things like this happen any time soon.

| The part that is brown is the tornado path. This sucker was an EF5--the highest rating a tornado can have. |

Such A Sweet Video...
While searching for a good Maaya Sakamoto song to let some people of Facebook listen to, I instantly thought of the song, "No Fear~Aisuru Koto" (I suggest you all listen to this one). So while typing it in, this is the first video I clicked because this person took the time to put the song with the ideas of helping Japan. It is such a sweet video, and I think you all should take a look at it. Please enjoy~!

A Bad Day In Our World...
As many of you may already know, Japan was hit by a MAJOR earthquake. The initial quake was an 8.9 on the Richter Scale and was off the coast of the main island some 250 miles northeast of Tokyo. It was felt in that city and even in places like Beijing, China. I had no idea about it until my cousin called me and told me that a few of the Japanese celebs that she follows on Twitter were tweeting like crazy stating that they were ok. I went on my own Twitter page and saw the same thing. I began to follow CNN and saw that the breaking news stated that Japan was indeed hit by a major earthquake and tsunami warnings were posted. Then, I turned on the television, switched it to CNN...and saw the damage. I was freaked out! And when they showed the tsunami flooding that farmland, I was quite upset. I was having chills even. And then the tsunami was scheduled to hit other countries within the Pacific Rim. so I was worried about friends that lived in those places too. I think I lost quite a bit of sleep because I was glued to my television well into the morning. I believe I have mentioned this before, but I had lived in Japan for about 2 1/2 years a long time ago. Since then, I've grown very attached to that country. And to see it in such a state made me really sad. While I cannot do much here, I really do hope that Japan will be able to recover and come back stronger than ever. The Red Cross is sending aid, and I gave blood last month, so I hope that maybe my blood is on it's way over there. Even after this, I'd still want to go back and visit.
Not only has there been an earthquake with tsunamis, but a volcanic erruption happened in Indonesia a few hours after it had happened. Then there are the protests in the Middle East. Now in the U.S. there is flooding and fires. Not to mention all the natural disasters that have happened within such a short amount of time: earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, and New Zealand and flooding in Australia. Makes you wonder what is going on with the world, huh? I can hear people now saying that it may be 2012. Eh...we don't really know. Maybe it is a sign from God. Whatever it may be, I pray for everyone affected and hope that things will get better real soon.
