Happy Valentine's Day!

Greetings, fellow readers!  Today is February 14th.  It is a holiday that is known all over the world--Valentine's Day.  A little history lesson:  There was a time in the Roman empire where marriages were banned.  One man who is now named Saint Valentine was imprisoned for helping couples to get married.  But even while he was in there, he was still marrying off people using heart-shaped leaves (I believe).  Unfortunately, he was beheaded.  :(  But that's how we got this loving holiday.

A day where couples get together to enjoy each other's company at the very least.  Most buy their loved ones chocolate, teddy bears, or jewelry on this day, so I'd imagine that those industries see a good amount of money come in.  ^^  In Japan and S. Korea, women will give the guy they like chocolate with handmade ones signifying that she really likes you.  It's all in hopes that they will recieve the same thing one month later on White Day.  Now, if you're single (like me) this might be considered your least favorite holiday in the year.  Many call this day Single Awareness Day, but in S. Korea that day doesn't come until two months from today and is known as Black Day.

And if you're a fangirl (also like me) then today is where you will spend the day with your bias...in your head.  *insert love song of your choice*  Here are the top five of my bias list who I'd love to spend the day with:

1. Changmin (TVXQ)

Of course he's going to top my list.  He's my very first bias and still remains so to this day.  A few years back, I had also made a post for Valentine's Day specifically for him.  And while I now kind of shake my head at how awkward that post got in the end, the feelings still remain the same.  I would imagine that if we did spend Valentine's Day together, we'd go out to eat at a nice restaurant.  I know it'd still be a bit difficult for him, but he'd try to be more affectionate than he usually is.  And with me being shy, it'd be much harder.  But through the day the awkwardness would wear away, and we'd really enjoy ourselves.  It'd probably end with us sitting in a cafe` having a conversation about a variety of topics.

2. Junnosuke (KAT-TUN)

Ah, Junnosuke...  If we were to spend Valentine's Day together, he'd try to make it as fun as possible.  He might take me to interesting places: Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, a museum or two, etc.  And of course, he'd take me to eat out too.  Oh!  And let's not forget about all the karaoke afterwards!

3. Jaejoong (TVXQ/JYJ)

I think that if I we were to spend Valentine's Day together, we'd be at his house the whole day.  We'd make dinner together, and I believe he would be the one to make the atmosphere more romantic with dim lights and such.

As Another Year Passes...

I know it's not even the end of the year, but usually whenever SM artists come to the U.S., it's usually once a year.  Thus, I say 'another year'.  I bet you know what I may write about, huh?  Well, this past weekend fans in southern California were blessed with two Kpop concerts: SM Town and MBC Google Kpop.  It's times like this that I REALLY wish I lived in California.  OTL  Anyway....

SM Town was a great success from what I'm gathering.  A good chunk of the artists came over to perform, and many fanaccounts were made.  Twitter was exploding with updates from fans that were there.  I was okay with it until I read in my timeline on Twitter that Changmin and Kyuhyun sang a duet.  It was Bruno Mars's 'Just the Way You Are'.  My first thought was "Changmin AND Kyuhyun, my two biases of TVXQ and SuJu, singing a duet?  AWESOME!!"  But then, I read that they were singing to a fangirl...while on a bended knee...while holding her hands...and they hugged her at the end.  Needless to say that I was really, really jealous of her.  It's great that she was an OT5 fan, but I still can't help but feel upset.  OTL  That's like one of my biggest wishes being lived through another person--of course being at the concert would be like having my wish being lived through thousands of fangirls (but to be up on stage, being serenaded to?).  I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bashing her though.  But I thought I'd just express what I'm feeling.  It's just that...everytime something like this happens, it feels like my wish to meet Changmin like that diminishes more and more with each passing year.  I know she was also chosen at random too, and for a while I wondered what it was that made her stand out.  It was interesting when she thanked God for this blessing, and I was all like:  "That's all well and good, but...  m(.__.)m"  The reason is because for a while, I've been thinking that God doesn't want me to see him.  For example, it is rare to dream of Changmin and when I do, most of the time he's ignoring me.  And of course I'm stuck here in the South for who knows how long...and I don't see Kpop coming here anytime soon.  OK LIFE, I GET IT!!!  I'm not allowed to see my ideal man in reality.  I also am aware that I'm not the only one who may think this way, and that I should be greatful that they're even touring the U.S. more because other countries have yet to be touched.  I've gotten friends to tell me that I'll get my chance one day, and it helped raise my mood.  But I felt bad that I made them feel pity for me because I'm not strong (or sane) enough to 'be honestly happy' for her like some others are.  Being a fangirl is hard, but being one that really, really likes their bias is harder.  But whatever....think of me as you will.  I hate being labeled as some crazy fan, but I guess that's what I am.  :x

Anyway, I did watch the MBC Google concert via live stream on Youtube.  The lagging was really nerve-wrecking, but I was happy to see Yunho and Changmin perform.  Yet while I was watching it on the stream, and even though it was live...it still isn't the same as actually being there.

Well, there you have it.  Yet another entry about something related to Changmin, b*tching about why I can't have him, how lucky other fangirls are, etc.  Ms. Lucky Fangirl Who Got to Hug Changmin and Kyuhyun....you are EXTREMELY lucky, and know that while I am jealous/envious, I will not send you messages of hate or threats of any kind.  When I'm mad at people close to guys I like, I complain and I find that I may end up self-hating in the end.  I

Just to throw in here:  I'm pretty sure that if any of my biases (especially Changmin) stumble upon this post, they will shake their heads in shame.  .___.  In any case, peace out.

Happy Birthday, Kyuhyun~!

It is already well past the 3rd over in Asia.  But here in the U.S., it is still going.  On this day 23 years ago, my second favorite Asian celebrity (just behind Changmin) was born.  His name:  Cho Kyuhyun.

When I first got into Super Junior, it was quite difficult to remember names.  And when I did, my sister and I have this thing where we'd pick members from groups we like.  She took about 85% of the group, and I only had 3 out of the 15 (yes, I support Henry and Zhou Mi as being part of SuJu).  Those three are Ryeowook, Kibum, and Kyuhyun.

I feel bad for not following him or spazzing over him as much as I do with Changmin, but I still do fancy him.  He's got one of the best voices in the group and for some reason he reminds me of the Kool-aid man and Winnie the Pooh at the same time (when he smiles of course).  I think I actually fell for him around the end of 2007...after the terrible car accident he was involved in earlier that year.  Have you heard about that?

Apparently this was him...  :(
He and a few other members were involved in an accident where the car flipped.  All members went to the hospital and left with minor cuts and so forth.  But Leeteuk and Kyuhyun (ESPECIALLY Kyuhyun) were in the hospital for a far longer time.  I think Leeteuk got out in July, and Kyuhyun got out in October-November.  If I had been a fan earlier, I probably would have been scared for his life because one of his lungs had collapsed.  But now, I am so glad that he is still alive and singing.

Please have a Happy 23rd Birthday, Kyuhyun.  And while I don't follow you as much (and even though you were upset when Hangeng left ^_^;;), I am thankful to be your fan.

And just to top it off...

SHAZZAM!!  A picture of my two favorite oppas having a good time.  :3
