#15YearswithTVXQ

Greetings, everyone!  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  I hope that you all are enjoying yourselves with friends and family.  It's been a good while since I've posted anything on here, and I feel really bad about that.  But today is a special day in Kpop fandom.

December 26th, 2018 marks fifteen years since the debut of legendary status Kpop group, TVXQ!

On December 26th, 2003 a group of five young men debuted on stage with 'Oh Holy Night' featuring BoA and 'Hug' at a joint concert for Britney Spears and BoA.  Since then they've exploded in popularity all over Asia and became one of the top Kpop acts of second generation Kpop.  TVXQ consisted of Kim Junsu (Xiah), Park Yoochun (Micky), Kim Jaejoong (Youngwoong/Hero), Shim Changmin (Choikang/ Max), and Jung Yunho (U-Know).  Around 2009, TVXQ started showing signs of the eventual split amongst them, leaving two members (Yunho and Changmin) actively promoting as TVXQ and the other three forming a new group called JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu).

Being a fan that still supports all five, I am really proud of the acheivements that they have made and even continue to make.  I have been a fan of theirs for eleven out of the fifteen years they've been active, and they are my bias group in Kpop.  With every year that their anniversary passes, I still think that it will be the year when they come back on stage as five and reenact their debut stage once again in those high school uniforms (or some updated version of them).  It's a silly wish, but I can only imagine the ugly crying I'll do if it becomes a reality.

So whether you are a well-seasoned or brand-spanking-new fan to Kpop, I would recommend you check out TVXQ and JYJ and reminisce old times with me.

I've Been Gone Waaayyy Too Long

Greetings, everyone!  ( ゚▽゚)/  You thought I'd never come back, right?  Well, I probably was not going to.  I actually considered getting rid of this blog a few times, but then decided against it because someone might actually enjoy reading my posts.  So why is it that almost four years later I decide to post?  What was keeping me from doing so?  There are a few reasons:

Laziness
My ultimate enemy.  Most days I never really want to do anything, so I don't.  Then the whole day goes by and I wonder why I can't ever be productive.

Work
In my four year absence from this blog, I managed to get a job!  \(^__^)/  It was great in the beginning (I can buy stuff now!), but the inconsistent scheduling has been making things really difficult--especially as of late.  This may be the main reason why I won't be posting as frequently as I was.

Other Media
From watching various YouTubers to retweeting a whole lot of things on Twitter I have been quite active in other parts of social media.  I think most of my activity lies within Twitter and Tumblr.  I've also gotten into reading doujinshi and fanfiction.  (^_6)

So what's in store for my blog now?  Well, be prepared to see a little less Kpop on it and a bit more anime.  I'm sure I can make like 100+ posts with all the stuff I've gotten into these past (almost) four years.

Until next post!

What Does A Priest, A Novelist, And A War General All Have In Common?

Greetings, fellow readers~  (^^)/  This blog post is a bit out of the blue, but is also amusing (to me at least).  As the title states, what exactly do those three have in common?  Who am I even talking about?

The Priest: Genjo Sanzo of 'Saiyuki'

The Novelist: Eiri Uesugi of 'Gravitation'

The War General: Nakago of 'Fushigi Yuugi'

Let's start with the obvious: the blonde hair.  And yes, that's their real hair color too! At some point in each of their manga or anime, their hair is mentioned to be quite unnatural.  In 'Saiyuki', Sanzo's hair is referenced as being like the sun by fellow teammate Goku.  In 'Gravitation', Eiri had told Shuichi that because of his blonde hair and other foreign features, he was taken to New York for a while.  In 'Fushigi Yuugi', Nakago had explained that because his tribe had blonde hair and blue eyes they were shunned by the rest of the population.

All three have a pretty cold personality towards everyone.  From icy glares to mean remarks, these three are pretty rough around the edges.  In the case of Sanzo and Eiri, it is usually one super annoying companion that irritates them to no end.  Nakago didn't seem to have anyone who truly annoyed him as he was just using everyone to get ahead in life.  However, as annoying as those people are to them, the three cared for them deeply:

Things weren't always peachy for these three.  In fact, their personalities are all due pretty much to the same traumatic experience as a child.  Because they are all so beautiful, they've all experienced some sort of sexual abuse.  I came to realize that these three have that much in common after I read a chapter of 'Saiyuki RELOAD' where we delve some more into Sanzo's past.  Let's start with him.

"And What Did You Do Over the Summer?" Part 2

Hello, again!  Here is part two of what my summer consisted of.  This one is all about anime.  XD  This one is going to be image-heavy so I apologize for that.  There are also links within the post, so be on the lookout for them.  As a disclaimer, I found all of these images/videos with the help of both Google and Youtube.  Credit is to be given to whoever uploaded the videos and to whoever posted the pictures first.  ^^

First, let me say that my sister, brother and I have finally finished the Chimera Ant arc of 'HunterxHunter'.  That was one emotional arc--especially the last few episodes!  Not only did I feel so sad when characters were perishing in awful ways (and you never knew who was next) throughout the arc, I also felt bad for the bad guys too.  :(  But even though the current arc (the Zodiac arc) may be a bit calmer, there is one person that might shake you up:

Meet the youngest of the Zoldyck family, Alluka.  His/Her power is rather scary.  Let's just say that he/she is why there is the saying: "Be careful what you wish for".  He/She has the power to grant wishes, but in order to have yours granted, you must do three things for him/her first.  They can range from something menial like giving him/her a piggy-back ride...to giving him/her a body part of yours.  But that really depends on how large the wish of the previous person was.  Basically, the bigger the wish, the more collateral it will be for the next person.  And if you don't fulfill any of Alluka's request by his/her fourth one, well...you (and maybe a few of your loved ones) will become a bloody mess.

I believe the highlight of my anime spazzing for this summer would be the amount of otome-based ones I watched:

'Hakuoki: The Demon of the Fleeting Blossom' is probably the start of my spiral into otome madness.  My sister had seen the series before me and loved it so much that she bought it all.  She then bought the PS3 game.  Never would I have thought I'd also love it so much.  This anime/game is based loosley on the famous group, the Shinsengumi.  I believe they're quite a popular theme in some other anime like 'Rurouni Kenshin', 'Peacemaker', and 'Gintama'.  Because this is an otome-based anime, it is reverse-harem.  That means one girl has multiple guys who like her.  And in the game, you have make choices that will put you on a route for whichever man you want to be with.  All the guys you see up there?  Those are your choices.  ^^  I've already completed one route, and his was so good.  Now I'm working on another, and I'm enjoying it.  Now, when I watched the series with my sister and played the game, there was one of the six that totally caught my eye and is now categorized as a "life-ruiner".  His name is Heisuke Toudou:
You may have seen my previous entry about him.  In history he was the eighth captain of the Shinsengumi and their youngest squadron leader.  I'm not too sure what attracted me to him, but now whenever he shows up on screen I either say "Bae!" or "It's boo thang!"  XD  I played his route first, and I.  LOVED.  IT.  He was way too sweet to me--I mean the protagonist.

'Amnesia' tells the tale of a girl who awakes to find out she doesn't remember anything about herself.  She is befriended by a fairy named Orion (who is just adorable) and he tells her that as a result of accidentally bumping into her soul he caused her memory loss.  Thus, he is willing to help her retrieve it.  Once again, my sister first watched this series and liked it alot, so she bought it.  As this is also a game, you have five guys (pictured above) to choose from and go their route of the game.  The games aren't availabe in English, but I hope they will be so I can play it.  And I have an idea of who's route I want to start with first:

His name is Ikkyu, but he prefers Ikki.  As you can see, he is supposed to represent the Spade in the deck of cards.  The general idea of his route is that he is supposedly a total womanizer with a fanclub.  Due to a wish he made when he was little to be more liked, he has these 'special eyes' that when a woman looks into them, they fall in love with him.  In the beginning, he takes dating (and love in general) to be a game as he has a limit on how long he dates women (three months), but the protagonist will change that...  ^^  Every time I saw him come on screen, and due to his personality I kept on thinking that Kpop group GOT7's song 'Girls' would fit him just nicely.

This one is all about classical music.  The story is about a girl who attends a school primarily for musicians in the making, but she is there for general studies.  She then befriends a fairy of music named Lily who gives her a magical violin.  Now...the girl doesn't know how to play at all, but when she is using that particular violin, she can bust out with 'Concierto for Violin' with no problem.  XD  That is probably why she is taken interest in by five guys.  Each of them play a different instrument: violin, flute, trumpet, piano, and cello--and they are really good in their field...which makes the main girl feel bad because she's not a true musician.  I haven't really watched it all from the beginning, so it is quite difficult for me to form a better review.  But I can tell you that this one really made me consider if I should learn an instrument.  A violin is looking pretty cool about now, or even the cello.  XD  There is another season with different characters called 'La Corda D'Oro ~Blue Sky~' in which the main girl actually knows how to play the violin, but due to something that happened to her in the past, she doesn't play to her fullest.  The picture above are your options in the games, and (as usual) if I ever get the chance to play I'm not sure who I'd want to choose.  Probably this guy:
This is Kazuki Hihara, and he plays the trumpet.  As I haven't watched the anime all the way through, I'm not sure much about his personality.  But looking at this picture, I am led to believe that he has a bright personality.  And I'm all for that.  ^^

"And What Did You Do Over The Summer?" Part 1

Greetings, fellow readers!  It's been a good while, hasn't it?  I really need better titles for my posts.  .__.  And the fact that they're becoming so far and few is becoming a problem.  Anyhoo, let's get to some topics!

Living the child's dream
Two words: DISNEY WORLD.  That is the main highlight of my summer, and I loved every minute of it.  My family and I spent a wonderful week visiting the Orlando area.  I in particular visited Epcot (twice), Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.  Though the weather was unruly and the lines were super long at every park I went to I didn't let it thwart me.  I was determined to explore every inch of each of the parks.  Unfortunately, you'd probably need a day and a half to get through everything.  Epcot was the main place I had in mind due to walking through all the 'countries'.  And of course I went ham in the Japan part of the park.  While in Magic Kingdom my main goal was to at least see Mickey Mouse in the flesh.  That almost didn't happen as it stormed pretty bad while we were there.  I kind of felt bad for making a sour face when it was looking like I might have to leave on account of a little rain (it was actually coming down in buckets), but some of our family stuck it out and waited for it to let up a little...and I got to see my favorite Disney character in the flesh.  It was so exciting!  \(^__^)/  Though it's quite an expensive place, it was nice to see families having a good time.  I hope to one day visit again so I can see the things I missed...and to buy this again:

Lucky #7 for TVXQ; Magical #3 for KAT-TUN
About this time of year seven years ago, I became a fan of uber popular Kpop group, TVXQ.  It was thanks to them that I was able to expand from anime and Jpop and get into Kpop.  Though fangirling them as a complete group was short-lived (as they broke up two years later) I still to this day continue to be generally OT5 (a supporter of all five).  Hopefully as this is the seventh year I've been their fan, something good will happen...  I feel it's heading that direction as the members are beginning to talk about each other in a discreet way.  Also, about three years ago I got back into the Jpop scene thanks to KAT-TUN.  And even though at that time they didn't have Jin, I was (and still am) very much supportive of 6nin.  Since three is considered a magical number, I also hope for good things for them too.  And so, I shall end by saying once again Happy 7th and Happy 3rd Anniversary to my two bias groups in Kpop and Jpop.  It's a shame I didn't get to see them perform when they were complete groups, but I shall try my hardest to continue to fangirl over both groups as if nothing has ever happened to them.  ^^

As one of my delusions of grandeur there was a time when KAT-TUN had hosted a fairly long-running television show called 'Cartoon KAT-TUN'.  To this day, I keep wondering how awesomely epic it would have been to see TVXQ as guests on their show.  Can you imagine the terrible gags both Junnosuke and Junsu would do?  And how everyone else would react?  Or each group trying to sing the other's song?  Or just the topics they might talk about?  It really would've been a sight to behold.  ;A;  I know that some did meet each other on music shows, and that was good too, so I guess I'll just have to suffice with that.

Anyhoo, until next time~!  (^__^)/

Been A Long While

Greetings!  It has been a long while since I've last posted an entry, hasn't it?  Most of the reason is sheer laziness.  But I've also been considering whether or not to actually keep up with this blog.  Seeing as there isn't many commenters, I'm not sure if I could continue.  We'll just have to see, huh?  Anyway, on to the topics!

E3 excitement
Earlier this week (and throughout it) was an event very important to video gamers everywhere.  It's called the Electronic Entartainment Event or E3.  For those who are unaware, it is a yearly event showcasing the latest in video gaming.  Monday and Tuesday were the press conference days for all the consoles and major production companies like Ubisoft and such.  This year, I decided to try and watch as much as I could.  Many of the games weren't my forte' (too many 'M' games), but I'm sure that many were excited to see trailers for long-awaited games as well as some gameplay.  The conference I looked forward to the most was PlayStation and Nintendo's, but I missed out on the latter.  And, as usal, I am always eager to see what Sqare Enix brings to the table...but I missed out on their presentation!  OTL  Maybe next year I'll manage to watch the everyone's conferences.

How bizarre...
I started playing an otome (Japanese "dating" game) a few days ago, and managed to finish it just recently.  It is called 'Hakuouki' (various spelling is 'Hakuoki') and there are various games in the series.  It also has an anime which I watched before playing the game.  It is loosely based off of the famous Shinsengumi in Japan, and is quite popular.

credit: Otome Junkie

The dubbing is so-so, but I must admit that the guys on the show are very handsome.  I honestly didn't think I'd get into this show as bad as I have.  I blame my sister...  =__=  Anyway, as with all otome games your ultimate goal is choose a guy and get into a relationship with him.  All of them are good-looking, ne?  So, you could see my dilemma.  I do have a few favorites; however, I decided upon my first choice from this show, Heisuke Toudou.

Captain of the 8th division of the Shinsengumi as well as the youngest...he's just so adorable.  And when he get's his hair cut (as shown below)...whew!  =^__^=

I really did enjoy going his route in the game--after a few "difficulties".  Lately, it's been him and Son Goku of 'Gensoumaden Saiyuki' that I've been quite interested in these days.  I suppose I really would like to draw them with an original character of mine that I tend to stylize for that character.  I'm notorious for that.  XD  Anyway, I recommend you checking out the anime or the video games if you're into a little romance.  Goodness, I'm curious as to what the other guys' routes are like in the game.  Time to find out, I suppose.

Well, that is all for the day.  Until next time~!  ^__^

'Mi Mi' Review & Happy 8th, KAT-TUN!!

My feels!!
Though this drama is only four episodes long, 'Mi Mi' really struck a chord in me I suppose. *le sigh*

"Is there a certain period of time you'd want to go back to?"

credit: Wikipedia
The story is about a webtoon artist named Han Minwoo who is having trouble trying to remember his first love from high school.  But that's not the only thing!  The very same thing that he's searching for is actually haunting him...  This mini drama switches between the past and the present, and shows you the happiness and pain of having a first love.  Changmin was cast in this drama to act as both the young and older Minwoo while Moon Gayoung was cast to play his high school sweetheart, Mimi.  Watch as the love story between these two unfold.

I was really intrigued by this drama.  I really loved the fact that it had the subject matter of art put into it, as I can relate.  This was sort of a downer drama for me though, as it just seemed to get more depressing with each episode.  At the same time I was thinking: "Darn it!  How awesome would it have been to experience a first love like that in an art room...with Changmin."  >///<  Eh, what can you do?  In a press conference, he made mention that if he could go back in time, he'd want to go to his middle school years to meet many girls.  I guess that would also be a good time period for me too as I'd want to fix some things in my life as well.  :o  How about you, fellow readers?  Is there a period of time you wish to go back to?

Happy 8th Anniversary, KAT-TUN
As of March 22, 2014, KAT-TUN will have officially debuted for eight years.  Of course they've been out longer than that.  The members have made quite a name for themselves, and I'm really glad that they're still well-loved in the fandom (for the most part).  Though they've gone from six members to four, I will continue to support each and every one of them.  I do hope they will keep doing what they love and I shall do my best to keep fangirling them along the way.

Well, until next time~!  (^__^)/

Happy Valentine's Day!

Greetings, fellow readers!  Today is February 14th.  It is a holiday that is known all over the world--Valentine's Day.  A little history lesson:  There was a time in the Roman empire where marriages were banned.  One man who is now named Saint Valentine was imprisoned for helping couples to get married.  But even while he was in there, he was still marrying off people using heart-shaped leaves (I believe).  Unfortunately, he was beheaded.  :(  But that's how we got this loving holiday.

A day where couples get together to enjoy each other's company at the very least.  Most buy their loved ones chocolate, teddy bears, or jewelry on this day, so I'd imagine that those industries see a good amount of money come in.  ^^  In Japan and S. Korea, women will give the guy they like chocolate with handmade ones signifying that she really likes you.  It's all in hopes that they will recieve the same thing one month later on White Day.  Now, if you're single (like me) this might be considered your least favorite holiday in the year.  Many call this day Single Awareness Day, but in S. Korea that day doesn't come until two months from today and is known as Black Day.

And if you're a fangirl (also like me) then today is where you will spend the day with your bias...in your head.  *insert love song of your choice*  Here are the top five of my bias list who I'd love to spend the day with:

1. Changmin (TVXQ)

Of course he's going to top my list.  He's my very first bias and still remains so to this day.  A few years back, I had also made a post for Valentine's Day specifically for him.  And while I now kind of shake my head at how awkward that post got in the end, the feelings still remain the same.  I would imagine that if we did spend Valentine's Day together, we'd go out to eat at a nice restaurant.  I know it'd still be a bit difficult for him, but he'd try to be more affectionate than he usually is.  And with me being shy, it'd be much harder.  But through the day the awkwardness would wear away, and we'd really enjoy ourselves.  It'd probably end with us sitting in a cafe` having a conversation about a variety of topics.

2. Junnosuke (KAT-TUN)

Ah, Junnosuke...  If we were to spend Valentine's Day together, he'd try to make it as fun as possible.  He might take me to interesting places: Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, a museum or two, etc.  And of course, he'd take me to eat out too.  Oh!  And let's not forget about all the karaoke afterwards!

3. Jaejoong (TVXQ/JYJ)

I think that if I we were to spend Valentine's Day together, we'd be at his house the whole day.  We'd make dinner together, and I believe he would be the one to make the atmosphere more romantic with dim lights and such.

What Even?

Yunho has emotional support & Jaejoong may be heading into the army soon?
Ah, I really do like how Yunho has said that he finds solace talking to a stuffed animal.  I'm sure many of us do the same thing.  Sometimes they make the best listeners.  XD  It's going to be a sad day for many fans when Jaejoong will enlist into the army.  But there may be pluses to it too.  Even though he'll have to go through the same rigorous training as average citizens (thanks to a prior scandal by another celeb in the army a year or two ago) it can also be a resting period from his career....and fans.  I'm thinking that this year, quite a few of the second generation Kpop artists will be heading into the army.  That means the rest of SS501, a good chunk of Super Junior, at least T.O.P. of Big Bang, and four out of five members of TVXQ.  But in my opinion (and to save us the agony), I think they all should go in at the same time and get it over with.

Kpop English fails
So while I was looking around on YouTube, catching up on MVs of groups I haven't been keeping up with, I came across a video of snippets of Kpop songs and their English fails.  It's basically the English in the song that doesn't necessarily make sense, or how some of the words they pronounce sound really different.  Take a look:

Credit: rightful owners on Youtube

Some of my favorites: "You look like a door", "Nothing sober", "Oh. My. God. I'm. So. Hard.", and "You're not a Batgirl".  Too bad they didn't put "WE GOIN' HARD TO THE COFFEE HOUSE" like I said in my last post.  But even though there are quite a few songs with such 'fail', some Kpop artists do know their English:

What is this nonsense?
Apparently this has been brewing for a few days, but then exploded.  It is an issue surrounding Kpop group B1A4.  Unfortunately, they got tangled up with the worst fandom to be involved with--Cassiopeia.  Usually when my primary fandom feels any of our members aren't getting the recognition they 'deserve', they tend to call the other fandom/artist/company/whatever out on it.  Things just got more ugly when some BANAs (B1A4 fans) made a wrong move and brought up old scars for both Yunho (poisoned drink) and Jaejoong (adoption issue).  Then Cassies came back and started saying mean things to the B1A4 members via their Twitter accounts  Really, now...what is this nonsense?!  First of all, two wrongs do not make a right.  Second, is it really going to kill HoMin (or JYJ) if they lose once in a while?  I know that what BANAs did was wrong, but if Cassies didn't instigate and just let the group have their win, things wouldn't have turned out the way they did.  Besides, who are Cassies to judge when they've done some pretty crazy things in the past?   How are fans of one group supposed to know what really goes on in another group or their fandom if they're not going to take the time to learn about that group and their fans and how they do things?  This is why I don't pay attention to music charts and rankings as much--if at all.  And my fandom seems to have become more pushier when it comes to trying to vote up HoMin or JYJ on anything these days.  "You're not a true fan if you don't do this."  Nope...I'm still a fan.  I know this also goes on in other fandoms, but since the promotions of 'Something' started, I've seen it get so bad.  And while our members are always greatful for our support, I sometimes wonder if they are also embarrassed by the actions of our fandom.  They've been in the business for 10 years now.  Newer groups are coming out.  It is inevitable that we will have to be on the backburner from time to time.  I'm sure the members know this.  To me, it doesn't mean they're less relavant.  How do you think fans of even older groups feel?  I don't think it's taboo to get into other groups either.  There was something I read on Tumblr a while ago that said: "I may be into alot of groups now, but at the end of the day, I'll always love my original group" (or something like that).  So, Cassiopeia...what do we need to do...?  I know I'm always ranting about this particular fandom, but don't forget that I still consider myself one.  It's just really frustrating when I see multiple fandoms that I like try to tear each other down.  And this doesn't just apply to Kpop.  Jpop and others are also known to do this stuff.  Did I bruise any egos with this?

Now, onto nicer things...

Changmin in a minidrama
Well, it's not on KBS, and it's short, but Changmin is going to be in another drama!  He says that he wants to show us how much his acting has improved since 'Paradise Ranch'.  The minidrama is called 'MiMi' and he plays as a webtoon artist.  From what I'm seeing, Changmin is a webtoonist who lost his high school sweetheart 10 years ago.  But, she comes to visit him as a ghost.  So...I guess it's like a ghost love story...like 'Fatal Frame III: The Tormented' in a way.  XD  Let's see if I can handle the kissing scenes like I did for 'Paradise Ranch'.

Well, that's all for now.  Until next time...if I have any readers left.  (^__^)/

January 21, 2014

Well, Well, Well...

All right!  First post of 2014!  \(^o^)/  Greetings, everyone.  I hope your holidays were great.  Let's jump into things, shall we?

"She's got that 'Something'"
Pretty much as soon as the clock struck midnight, Yunho and Changmin released a music video titled 'Something.  It kind of reminds me of a cross between TaeTiSeo's (a subgroup of SNSD) 'Twinkle' and Maaya Sakamoto's 'DOWNTOWN'--all of which have that 1920-1930s swing feel.  At first, it took me a while to get into the song.  It seems to be a recurring thing where I can't get into their songs until much later.  But now, it's growing on me.  I do like how the music video was set up.  But then there were the scenes where they had the ladies all over them...   ಠ_ಠ  *jealous fangirl*  I could've just sat around and looked pretty while next to Changmin too.  Here is the music video if you have yet to watch it:

They also released the album 'TENSE' not too long ago with quite a new genre that they're dabbling into.  There is a song on there called 'TEN (10 Years)' which I'm guessing is a dedication song to the fans for ten years in the business.  It's rather bittersweet for me.  *sigh*  I fear that if Jaejong, Yoochun, and Junsu don't release something music-related as JYJ then they might be forgotten.  It'd be even better if they could come back together as five.  What I really dislike is that fact that some fans say that Yunho and Changmin don't give a s**t about the other three or vice versa as they move on in their careeres.  >:/

Changmin leaves 'Cool Kiz on the Block'
I'm really sad about this.  While I do admit that I did watch the show mainly for him, I've become really into watching all the teammates as they played various sports.  But Changmin decided that he should leave the show so he could better focus on the promotions for 'Something'.  Now he won't get to see the Winter Olympics in Sochi.  I will really miss his presence on the show.  I predict that the viewer ratings will drop due to this which is also sad.

By gosh...it's finally happened...
After kind of evading them for a while, EXO has wormed their way into my fangirl heart.  I'm still not familiar with faces and names, but I've got half of them down.  This all happened about a week ago as my sister and I were watching their little t.v. show called 'EXO Showtime'.  If I were to pick a bias as of right now, it'd most likely be Chanyeol and Tao, but Xiumin and Chen also catch my eye.

A boy who loves his fuzzy hats--Chanyeol
"Please buy me this"--Tao

As 2013 Comes to a Close...

Wow!  This year was full of ups and downs both in real life and fangirl life!  o__o  And with just a few hours to go until the new year (where I live), let's take a look back at just a fraction of the things that made the year.

In real life we had...

We survived the 2012 apocolypse!!
First and foremost, amidst all the fears of an apocolypse that was to pass on December 21, 2012 due to the ending of the Mayan calendar...we made it!  \(^o^)/

Birth of baby George
This year, Prince William and his wife the Dutchess of Cambridge were blessed with a baby boy whom they named George.  It was a huge televised event.  I recall everyone eagerly awaiting for Kate to come out with the bundle of joy in her arms.

Trayvon Martin verdict
Many people, especially in the black community were outraged when they heard that George Zimmerman, accused of killing Trayvon Martin was found not guilty.  Honestly, I was also upset.  It may have come to no suprise to some people as Florida has had a few other issues with it's now infamous 'Stand Your Ground' law.  :/

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!
Earlier in the year, a rogue meteor fell over Russia.  It blazed through the sky, casuing a sonic boom that damaged many buildings and injured a few people.  It was quite a suprise!  Then, later in the year, many were excited about the comet known as ISON as it was set to make its journey around the sun.  If it had made it fully around, many would have been treated to a spectacular sight that night.  Unfortunately, nobody really knows what happened to ISON.  Some say it disintegrated while others say that a part of it made it around.

Reveal of PS4 and Xbox One
It was a battle of game consoles!  You were either for the PS4 or the Xbox One.  Both have really nice graphics.  Both had many cool features.  Both are very expensive.  XD

Pacific storms
While the hurricane season in the Atlantic was really quiet this year, the Pacific seemed to be really active!  The worst one of the year was Hurricane Hayan (or Yolanda) that hit the Philippines.  Many were killed and the damage is still very much apparent to this day.  :(  Stay strong, Philippines!

"What does the fox say?"
Need I say more?  But the song is entertaining.

Twerking
Need I say more again?

Television drama
While there were many shows that came out this year, there were ones that totally gripped people: 'Scandal', 'Breaking Bad', 'The Walking Dead', and 'Game of Thrones'.  Some of them ended their seasons on cliff-hangers or just left people in shock.  I have heard that people were so very shocked at the "red wedding scene" for 'Game of Thrones'.  Some characters were even killed off like Brian Griffin of 'Family Guy' who was then brought back to life (and the creator made it a life lesson to boot).

There were many other stories that made headline news as well:  'Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson's controversial comments, the earthquake in Pakistan that formed a new island, Sout Korea's first female president, the school shooting in Colorado, Miley Cyrus' crazy antics, etc.  You can see a little clip Google has done for many other stories that I wasn't able to remember here.

Happy 10th Anniversary, TVXQ!!!!!

December 26, 2003 is a day that will always be remembered by any TVXQ fan.  It is the day where South Korea received (what I like to call) their 'Christmas present'.

This is a HUGE event for any TVXQ fan anywhere!  It's their 10th year in the business!  This is cause for celebration!  ♪┏(・o・)┛♪┗ ( ・o・) ┓♪

You all know their names--Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu, and Changmin.  You know their color--pearl red.  You know their fanbase name--Cassiopeia (Korean fans) and Bigeast (Japanese fans).  Even if you're not a fan, you probably know all this anyway!  XD

A bit of history...

お誕生日おめでとう、淳之介さん!!

Though it's already passed in Japan, I'd like to wish my "ichiban" a Happy 28th Birthday~!!

I'm not going to say much, as I've already done that before.  For the past two years since I've established him to be my bias, I have come to love him more and more.  This year--just like I did with Changmin--I decided to send him a birthday card.  I'm not so sure if it reached him or not, but the fact of the matter is that I did try.  Here are some pictures of it:

I know that they're small, but it is essentially a card in the shape of a PSP.  Since Junnosuke likes to play video games, I thought it'd make a really neat card.  But please...don't sue me, Sony!  >__<

Once again, happy birthday, Junnosuke!  I hope that you will still continue to do what you love.  I pray you stay healthy and in your right mind as you continue to 'level up'.  ^^  While I may not be able to meet you in real life, just know that you have a fan who is proud to boast about you~!

Until next time~!  (^__^)/

Junnosuke's October 2012 Duet Interview...With A Twist!

It's been a while since I've done one of these.  ^^  This one is Junnosuke's interview for the October 2012 volume of 'Duet Magazine'.  Junnosuke's responses will be in green and mine will be in purple.  As always, these are meant to be funny, and my answers are just to be spoofy.  Translations by mixedstrategy (haiiro_yosei).

Q1: What kind of food would you like your girlfriend to cook for you?
Curry! If it's beef you have to watch whether it's being cooked at the right heat and it takes time, hence chicken? On the other hand if I cook it would be stir fried salt soba!  *puts on apron*  Curry for dinner it is!

Q2: What phrase would you like to say while confessing?
For me, I haven't really had experience of saying it clearly in words. That's because I think we’ll understand each other's feelings from the surrounding atmosphere.  So, that time we went to the karaoke bar and sang 'I Love You', you were confessing?

Q3: What would you like to give your girlfriend on her birthday?
Accessories or a bag would be it, right? Since for rings and shoes I would have to ask for her size.  Ah, trying to bring in the element of suprise.

Q4: What would you like to wear to a first date?
If it's at the beach I would wear jeans and a T-shirt, if it's at a restaurant and there's a dress code I would wear a jacket etc. I would dress according to the location.  Same here.

Q5: What kind of date plan would you definitely be happy with?
If it's a 'nature-type' date we would drive to the beach and eat delicious seafood nearby. If we're in town it would be at a hotel restaurant or something?  So I'm guessing Burger King isn't an option?  :o  *Junnosuke glares at me*

Q6: What songs would you like to sing when going to karaoke with your girlfriend?
What shall it be... For me, I sing many types of songs~ Anime songs too (laugh). If it's a KAT-TUN song it would be 'Yorokobi no Uta'.  Ooh!  We must absolutely sing 'The Garden of Everything'!  (for real, I wanna sing it with him)

Q7: At what moment do you think 'I did it!'?
I don't know. I have never thought 'I did it!' about myself before. On the other hand I would like everyone to tell me~  But you said it just yesterday after defeating a difficult boss in your video game.  ^^

Q8: An action of a girl that makes your heart skip a beat?
When she takes off her shoes at a traditional Japanese restaurant and lines them up casually. People who can do that are great.  *tries my best to line up shoes*  Almost...got it!  How's that?  *Junnosuke approves*

Q9: What are the 3 requirements you have for your girlfriend?
Shorter than me, even if it's just by 1cm. To be kind. But, someone who will clearly point out my bad points to me.  Well, then...I've got this.  >:D

Q10: When would you think a girl is cute?
Girls are always cute. I think it would be good to treat girls as 'princesses'. I wouldn't get angry etc.  *rolling my eyes*  That is such a safe ans-- *Junnosuke glares again* SUCH A NICE ANSWER!!  ^^;;

Q11: If a girl is going to cosplay for you, what would you like her to dress up in?
Nurse! Of course it's a nurse right! I am not particular about the skirt length but please wear a (nurse's) cap.  *suddenly in nurse outfit*  Shall I take your temperature?  Agh!  Patient seems to be suffering from a nosebleed!  XD

Q12: What type of cosplay would you like to try out?
Bartender! I want to try wearing a cummerbund and holding a cocktail making shaker.  (T/N: Please pardon my general ignorance of evening wear and alcohol related words)  Oh, bartender!  I'd like a soda--stirred, not shaken.

Q13: If you could use magic what would you do?
I want to fly around freely in the sky. I want to try sitting on the edge of the Skytree's observatory platform (laugh). Everyone will be shocked right!?  I should say so.

Q14: Requirements of men that you think are cool?
Someone who is usually silent but able to speak to the point. And, someone kind to those younger than him! Someone tall!  So...Changmin?

Q15: Please tell us about your current dream!
I want to do a solo live. The main theme would of course be dance right? And I would also like to write some good songs.  I'd like to see this happen too.  ^^

Q16: If you could go back to being a student, what are the top 3 things you would like to do?
First is to participate more in basketball matches. Second is the competitors' pledge at sports meet! Third is to hold/attend a class reunion with the feelings of returning back to a student.  School is a nice memory, isn't it?  :3

Q17: How do you recover when you are feeling down?
I am not the kind to feel down. But in my opinion it is of course important to have time to think so recently I've been taking time to think.  You really are a ball of sunshine.  But those days where you're thinking...you're mostly cloudy, aren't you?  *Junnosuke bursts into laughter*

Q18: Recently what items are you into?
A wristwatch I bought on an overseas trip. Although I like it, when I finally notice, I realised that I always forget to put it on. (laugh)  And when you finally notice, it's already in need of a new battery.  XD

Q19: What do you consider as a small luxury?
Although the 'little egg biscuits' that I'm into recently comes in a set of 5, I usually only eat 1 packet at a time. (laugh)  And I usually eat the other four.  :P  *Junnosuke is shocked at my response and finally realizes why so many go missing in such a short amount of time*

Q20: What is the thing you want to do the most now?
To practise operating a boat! Because I've been thinking I can go any time, I end up not going. I have to practise!  Welcome to the procrastination club.  ^^

Well, that is all.  I hope you enjoyed this interview with a twitst.  XD  Until next time!

November Nonsense

Greetings, fellow readers!  It's almost turkey day in the U.S.  Who is ready to stuff their face?  XD  But let's not forget the main reason for Thanksgiving--giving thanks for the things we have.  Though I'd be extremely greatful if I got to see my bias in person.  ^^;;  From the last part of October to now there have been quite a few suprising stories in fandom.  Let's get to it!

Celebrities on Twitter
After his departure from KAT-TUN back in late October that left fans devistated, Koki has come back via Twitter~!  There was a fake account before his, so when his was actually found there was a little speculation.  But since two of his brothers had followed that account, fans did the same.  Koki is the second KAT-TUN member to make an account after Jin (who doesn't use his anymore) and it's enjoyable to read his tweets--even though they're in Japanese.  :P  He's quite the chatterbox, and I like that.  ^^    Also to join Twitter is SNSD member (and one of my biases from the group) Seohyun!  She may not tweet often, but I'm glad that she's entered the world of Twitter.  I also came across Taiwanese singer and actor Ken Chu as well as Barbie Hsu and Vic Zhou.  Slowly but surely I'm finding the F4.  I follow a whole bunch of Kpop, Jpop, and Cpop stars that it's crazy.  >__<  But there are a few that I'd really enjoy seeing on Twitter, and I'm pretty sure that you can make a few guesses as to who they might be.  :P  But aside from Twitter, you have quite a few of them on other social networks--Instagram being a big one followed by Chinese site Weibo.  Of course there is now LINE and a few still use Cyworld.  So alot of stars are feeling out to the world through alot of different places.  It's really nice to see them talk about things that the general public would (to some degree), take a whole bunch of pictures of themselves or the food they're eating or their pet or their house...etc.  And it always brightens a fan's mood when they do mini fan-talks.  I have yet to get a response from anyone though.  ;A;  But one thing (though it's perfectly normal) is seeing them when they're sad or mad.  Most of the time it's due to someone hacking their accounts and whatnot.  Of course that can be avoided with stronger passwords (like a set of cryptic numbers and letters).  But then there are events that make them upset and they take to Twitter like the rest of us.  ^^;;  A while back, Jaejoong had such an issue where someone made him upset and he made it known through Twitter.  I've not seen any of my favorite celebrities get upset (probably never will on camera), but it made me wonder how scary they'd look if they got really mad.  Some of them it's hard to imagine getting really mad: Yunho and Junnosuke are just two that come to mind almost immediately.

Dongho calls it quits
U-KISS's maknae decided to call it quits from idol life it seems.  And while it's sad to see him go, I can understand his reason for doing so.  He said it was not good for his health, and if you think about all the schedules, lack of sleep, and not enough time to eat that celebrities--especially of the Kpop variety--go through you might not even want to keep going either.  The ones that do are troopers.  ^^  But Dongho also had a health issue with his lungs, so I think he made a good decision.  Best of luck to you, Dongho.  Though this is a second blow to KissMe's as they've lost Alexander and Kibum previously, I don't think that will stop them from loving all the members no matter what they're doing.

It's that time of year again...
Yes...awards shows.  =____=  These tend to be a reason for fanwars to start.  And I am certain that a good amount of cheating goes on in them as well--at least in the past there may have.  These things also seem to bring out the ugliest parts of fans.  Of the latest there was the YTMAs (Youtube Music Awards).  I was really glad that SNSD's 'I Got A Boy' won the Video of the Year Award.  But quite a few non-Kpop fans were not too thrilled with that.  Then there was the recent EMAs (European Music Awards).  Now, I don't know how EXO managed to make it on there, but they did.  I usually don't participate in these things, but I did try to help them to win whatever they were nominated for.  Unfortunately, they were pitted against fans of One Direction and Justin Bieber.  And it didn't help that some fans of other Kpop fans also didn't want them to win.  It was apparent on my Twitter list.  And when EXO didn't win, they jumped for joy...and I found that to be totally unecessary.  >__>  But EXO, One Direction, and Justin Bieber all lost to a Chinese singer.  And that is fine by me.  The award show I tend to keep from voting in is the MAMAs (Mnet Asian Music Awards).  I've been doing so since HoMin was nominated...that year was crazy.  .___.

Ailee/Allkpop scandal
*sigh*  In what might be the biggest scandal of the year (aside from the pain I felt towards the whole 'ChangToria' thing) is the whole fiasco between Kpop star Ailee and Kpop gossip news site Allkpop.  I may not know the whole issue, but from what I'm gathering the thing started when Allkpop posted an article about nude photos of Ailee being posted.  That led to serious backlash for the site as fans found it extremely improper of Allkpop to do.  The site had already ruffled many fans' feathers numerous times before, but this might just be the icing on the cake.  I say that because it's caught the attention of actual Korean media who didn't know about the site's existance until last week.  What makes this issue so tough is that the apparent leaker of Ailee's photos was an ex-boyfriend of hers and the photos were taken before she became a star and while she was living in the U.S.  And that ex-boyfriend works at Allkpop so...yeah.  My thought on the issue (and while some may totally disagree with me) is that this is a lesson learned on Ailee's part.  One should be careful of what they do or say in the time before they become someone in a position of fame because someone is bound to dig it up.  I was suprised that she admitted that those were photos of her to begin with because most would just deny it.  And while it was pretty bad of Allkpop to post those, I'll still continue to follow them on Twitter.  Sure, they may have said some awful things about Kpop stars before Kpop became global, but I doubt they're the only site out there that trolls like that.  I had been visiting a site called POPSEOUL! in my early fangirl days that also was a bit of a troll.  But I can't help wondering if this whole mess would've been different if the leaked nudes were of a male idol instead...  Well, all I can say is that I hope things will get cleared up soon.

Aside from all that there were the pictures that Kpop collaboration duo Troublemaker had released that were a bit too sexy and a clip of a movie called 'Rough Play' (starring Lee Joon) that was nothing but sex.  :P  I wonder how he felt filming it?  Well, that is all for now.  Until next time!

Tidbits Of News

Lately, I've been kind of seeing a couple of things related to swimming (well, only two things).  And all I can relate them to is the anime that became quite popular, 'Free!'  But I could be wrong.  They could've been for summer.  One is an upcoming Korean movie called 'No Breathing'.  From the link, the plot seems to be about swimming rivals and the both of them falling for the same girl.  It's kind of like the anime with the exception of falling for a girl.  ^^  And it looks like one of my favorite SNSD members is in it!  The other swim-related show is the next segment to 'Cool Kiz on the Block'.  I really do enjoy this show--and not just because Changmin is in it.  After the sport of badminton, they're going to go swimming.  I wonder if that'll include diving, synchronized swimming, or competitive swimming.  And now that I think of it...what if they do make a reference to 'Free!'?  XD  Pictures of Changmin in a pool (with a shirt on) are already coming out and some fans are really excited for this segment because of possible shirtlessness, speedos, or whatever.  While I'd also most likely enjoy this segment as well, I was really hoping for a different sport.  I really wanted them to play billiards.  Why you ask?  That way I could possibly see another JunnoMin interaction.  Junnosuke is really good at billiards, and maybe Changmin would've called him up to be on the Cool Kiz team.  Then I would've seen several weeks of interactions.  *o*  But I'm also certain this may not come to pass because Junnosuke is a Johnnys, and the company might not let that happen.  Then there's the slight issue with the realtionship between Japan and S. Korea already.   *dreams are shot*  OTL

I also heard about Yunho and Changmin having a fanmeeting with Cassiopeia.  While I'd love to be there, I'd feel quite melancholic about it at the same time.  Because I want to be at one that has all five members.  :x  Also, I heard that Junsu sang a little of 'Stand By U' and 'Forever Love'.  That makes me quite glad.  I know it might sound contradicting as I said I was uncomfortable with Yunho and Changmin singing their old songs.  Junsu did say, however, that he would rather have sang it as five.  Additionally (and it will sound contradictory again), I heard a clip of Changmin singing a bit of 'HUG'.  And that made me sad.  I really don't want them to sing 'HUG' or 'Stay With Me Tonight' unless they're going to sing it as five.  Those two songs just don't work for me unless there are five voices.  :/

Now, onto more pressing matters in fandom...

KOKI IS NO LONGER A MEMBER OF KAT-TUN!!!!!!  ;A;  This makes me really sad!  I wonder if this is why KAT-TUN hasn't been doing much these past few months.  Koki isn't even a bias of mine, but it is really upsetting to see him leave.  He was the one who came up with the fandom's name, Hyphen (which stood for the 'link' keeping KAT-TUN together).  He was the one who said he loved the fans very much and during concerts would tell them to stick with KAT-TUN forever.  The reason for the termination of his contract is due to his breaking of the rules Johnny puts in place for the artist.  And Koki's latest scandal was...crazy, so I can see why the company would do it.  But at the same time, I really wish they could've suspended him for the next promotional album or something.  Here are the messages left by the company, Koki himself, and the other members.  From the way it sounded it's like Koki will still remain in Johnny's Ent. but only as a solo artist or he might get demoted to Jr. status (as I've read some other artists have done when they got in serioius trouble).  This is like a second blow to Hyphens.  I believe it will be much harder to replicate the sound of their old songs as Koki was their only true rapper and he usually had a part to himself in alot of the songs.  And while I know Nakamaru or Junnosuke could do it, it still just wouldn't be the same.  To be honest, it was hard for me to listen to them sing their old songs and have to sing Jin's parts.  *sigh*  It's good, however, to see some fans say that they'll continue to support Koki after his departure, but I wonder if there will be ones that will treat him like they do Jin.  :/  I'm sure there are some fans that even might think "At least isn't not my favorite member" or commentors that might say "At least it's not happening to my favorite group".  >__>  To me, I'll continue to consider him as part of KAT-TUN like I do for Jin.  It's also the same thing I do for many of the other groups that I've come to know that also have members to leave--case and point being TVXQ.  Koki, you shall be truly missed as being a part of KAT-TUN.

Well, that is all for now.  Until next time...

The Beauty of New Mexico

Greetings, fellow readers!  Today, I shall tell you about my interesting moments in the state of New Mexico.  :D  I've been there twice now, and it's really different from where I live right now.  But it's also really cool.  The climate is drier than here, which is great because you don't feel like you're sweltering.  I've visited lots of cool places while in New Mexico as well!  Note: Pictures in links as well as the one below are not mine.

White Sands
I visited this place on my first trip to New Mexico.  This area is a national monument and is quite a huge area in my opinion.  And it's really white!  XD  While visiting, you can rent out some disks to sit on and slide down the dunes.  That is really fun, but it's tiring walking up the dunes just to slide down them.  Oh, and when I was leaving, I saw a camel there as well.

Organ Mountains
Next to the place I was staying in is the Organ Mountain range.  It's been a long time since I've seen mountains, so I was really suprised the first time I saw them.  They looked like they were photoshopped into the area.  ^^  And when clouds were going over them, it made them look really creepy.

Roswell
Just a good drive away is the famous town of Roswell.  I didn't think I'd be able to see this town with my own eyes.  XD  But everywhere was alot of alien memorabilia.  I visited a museum about the alien crash site back in the 1940s and all the conspiracies that followed.  It was pretty fun.

Ruidoso
I also went to a casion/resort that was in the mountains.  The ride was fairly long, but looking at the scenery change from arid desert to green mountains was really interesting.  Never had I thought that New Mexico is as green as I had previously thought!  On my way there, I rode past a reservation for the Mescalero Apache Indians.  And it was my first time seeing tipis!  ^o^

The main reason for my second trip to New Mexico was for Billy the Kid who was a famous outlaw that traveled in New Mexico alot.  I visited the area he was caught in, the area he was tried in (called Mesilla), and the place he is now buried (Fort Sumner).  It's rather ironic because there is a cage around his (and his buddies) grave.  It's like they ultimately ended up in the place they tried to avoid--jail.

As an added bonus, I went to a pistachio shop and actually saw hot air balloons floating in the sky!  New Mexico is known for flying them, and it was also another first for me to see them.  Also, the pistachio shop has a statue that is the world's largest pistachio.  ^^  I've been to it once before, and let me tell you...the licorice is amazing!  Nothing like Twizzlers.  *o*

New Mexico was a really nice place to visit on both accounts, and if I ever get the chance to go back again, I just might.  I also recommend you all to visit this state as well.  By the way, the main question that you might get asked is "Green or red?"  ^^

Autumn Is Awesome & Paper Cranes for KAT-TUN

First off, I must express how excited I am!  My favorite season is on the way~!  Yes, I absolutely love autumn.  I really hadn't realized how much I adore the season until a few years ago.  I mean, all the other seasons are really nice, but it feels as though autumn is my ideal one: it's not too hot or too cold (depending on where you live), the leaves change into beautiful colors, and it's the beginning of the holiday season.  Unfortunately, due to where I live I don't get to see the leaves change color.  But if I could I would move to an area where I could see it.  I took one of those little quizzes on where you should be living, and it usually gives me places in the northeastern part of the U.S.  One in particular is a town called Camden, Maine.

Isn't it beautiful?  I probably wouldn't mind living there.  Of course, I'd have to get used to some things...like snow.  I also wouldn't mind living in the Pacific northwest either.  But anyway, look at this beautiful picture of the autumn season!

Anyhoo, I've also managed to send off my paper cranes for a fan project.  This one is for KAT-TUN to let them know how much fans miss them and to let them know that we're still with them even if they aren't doing any group activities right now.  The only worry that I (as well as many other fans) have is that they might not actually make it into their hands.  You see, Johnny's Entertainment (the company KAT-TUN is under) has strict rules that fans must follow.  One of them is that you're not allowed to send them a gift of any form.  The official fanclub checks all mail for their artists to make sure of that.  Really the only thing that can be given to any artist is a fanletter, thus many Hyphens (KAT-TUN's fans) are worried because we're sending paper cranes.  Obviously, they are going to be lumpy in an envelope.  But I'm still hoping that maybe the official fanclub will make this one exception and let them pass.  Each fan sending a crane was supposed to draw a symbol on the envelope to let the fanclub know it's part of the project.  So, here are mine:

I only sent off five of them, but I might actually send the sixth one to Jin.  ^^  Some fans said it probably would be best to attach them to a fanletter so that they wouldn't get lost once they were opened.  Thus, that is what I did.  I really do hope that KAT-TUN receive these paper cranes, and if they don't that's okay too.  At least I went through with it.  Well, until next time~

Shipping Oddball & Nissan Stadium

"It's not what you think!"
So a while back, I was reading a fanfic titled 'Marry Me'.  As outrageous as it was at times, I also found it rather amusing.  The thing about it is that the main couple is JunnosukexChangmin.  I tend to shy away from fanfics of the 'shipping' genre, but there are times where I'll find one that piques my interest.  And because I'm rather paritcular to either JaeMin and now the JunnoMin ships, I read stories about them.  It's probably due to the rarity of material on them as well as the lack of interaction I see between JaeMin and JunnoMin.  But it's not what you think!  >__<  While I do find the fanfiction to be interesting, I still cannot for the love of me ship them into reality.  That's because I'd really like to ship them with me.  They are some of my biases after all.  (*≧∀≦)ゞ

So, yeah...I'm rather an oddball.  While I don't like the idea of shipping at all, I still find reading the fanfics about it to be intriguing.  One side-effect from reading some (especially ones with smut) is that you can't see them the same way for at least the rest of the day.  XD

Party at Nissan Stadium!
Anyway...congrats to Yunho and Changmin for two days at Nissan Stadium!  I hear it's the biggest one in Japan.  I thought for sure Tokyo Dome was though, but I guess that's why one's a stadium and the other is a dome.  It was nice of fans to do multiple light shows for them.  I kind of expected alot of the praise that they got too.  Though I couldn't shake the feeling of "I wish that they could've done this feat as five".  :(  So, if possible...when Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu make it there, I hope that they will also have a light show put on for them.  Which reminds me!  While surfing the Internet trying to see if KAT-TUN also has done a show at Nissan Stadium (I thought they might've) I did come across new that was a year old saying that Junsu did perform there as well.  He was part of a small concert, but he indeed was there.  I know that Yunho and Changmin are considered the first 'foreign artists' to perform there...but Junsu was there too.  Wouldn't that count for something?  :o

I'm not really sure where else I wanted to go with this post, so I'll just end it here.  Until next time~!

Anime, Anyone?

So, my sister--who is more into anime than I am these days--had me watching a couple of anime titles in one day.  Here's my breakdown of what I watched:

Greed Island arc --> Chimera arc
We've been watching the anime 'HunterxHunter' for a while.  It's the recent version that is still airing in Japan.  We just finished the 'Greed Island' arc in which Gon and friends have managed to complete the video game and were ready to meet Ging--Gon's father.  However, who they run into is not him.  Instead it is an old friend of his father who is looking into a certain type of ant that is quite carniverous.  The queen of this kind of ant is trying to make the perfect king, but she needs to eat for it to happen.  Here's the thing...it doesn't matter what she eats.  From other insects to large animals...even humans.  She then uses a process called phylogenesis to mix traits of hers with traits of the animals she eats, thus creating a chimera creature.  But let me tell you, this arc is difficult to handle for me.  Some of the characters die.  ;A;

Free!
After hearing so much about it, we decided to watch the newest anime out there, 'Free!'  As I had mentioned earlier, it is a sports anime based around on swimming.  Of course the main audience for this is aimed towards fangirls because let's face it...guys in bathing suits swimming is sure to gain a girl's attention.  I must say that this anime is very entertaining allbeit nothing but fanservice.  I think the most hilarious part is the ending of each episode where the main guy characters are getting funky in a club.  XD

Say "I Love You"
This anime is similar to your typical high school slice-of-life romance.  At first, I only saw the intro and was like: "This dude just kissed her.  Does he even know here like that?"  XD  But things get explained as the show rolls on.  It's a fairly short series, and I'm not really fascinated by how a girl in anime looks so helpless in recent works.  But the main girl in this one is a bit different, and the main guy is a real smooth talker!  ^^  He seems to really like her though.

With that, there are some of the recent anime titles I've been watching as of late.  Until next time~!
