Hello fellow readers~! I just wanted to post on a few things today. Ready?
First of all, my sister and I finally managed to finish watching all of "Sungkyunkwan Scandal"! Yay! It was a really good series. The acting was superb. And even though it was Park Yoochun's first time in a true drama, I was really impressed with how he acted out his character. Of course everyone else did superb as well. :3 But because my sister is Yoochun biased, she was freaking out whenever he had to kiss the main actress. If you haven't watched this drama yet, I suggest you should. In fact, I think I'll post a list of dramas that you all should watch.
This brings me to my next topic: "Paradise Ranch". I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this drama to have an airdate. And now it has one! January 23rd (but it might be the 24th). It will air on SBS on Monday and Tuesday nights starting at 8:50pm. The reason I am eager for this drama is because my ever-favorite bias, Shim Changmin is in it! =^.^= Based on the synopsis of the drama, I fear that I may be the one who will do the freaking out due to some possible kissing scenes. Can I handle you kissing another woman, Changmin? I hope so. ^^; Since this drama will be on SBS and not KBS, I shall have to watch it from my computer chair rather than from the comfort of my sofa. Why couldn't it be on KBS...why...?
Last night before I went to bed, I came across something that made me laugh and feel bad at the same time. I'm sure by now most of you have heard what happened to Junsu? Well, a fan actually got him to sign a contract that said he couldn't marry for an extended period of time. I don't know if he realizes it now, but hopefully Junsu will actually pay attention to what type of paper he's signing on. And I hope that fan was just kidding. Otherwise that was a really mean thing she just did.
I bring it back to the issue that TVXQ is dealing with SM about. Sometime last week it was stated that SM was forced by the Korean FTC to revise contracts. I'm not sure if it is just one or all contracts, but I'm hoping for the latter. 13 years seems quite long. How I see it, the artist should be signed on for 5-7 years to the company and then choose whether to go on longer with them. Maybe that's how SM had planned it...but it doesn't seem to be that way. To make an artist pay tons of money if they leave early doesn't seem right. Sure maybe a little fee, but an arm and a leg...really? I think that the artist is now able to choose which events they want to do as well? That sounds better to me because it won't make them tire out too fast. And has anyone heard from Lee Sooman lately? The last thing I heard was that he pulled out some stocks. Were they from SM? Because if so...it could mean something...Well, I sincerely hope that Yunho and Changmin decide NOT to sign back with them. Not only would they be free, but they could join up with JYJ. And I'm certain that they'd still do fine. I also read that SM has begun auditions for people who would like to join. All I can say to you who want to participate is to be aware of what goes on and seriously think about it all before you sign.
To finish up this blog, I wanted to tell you all about something interesting that happened. You see...I have over 1000 songs on my media player and I have it randomized. Most songs are between Jpop, Kpop, Anime, Taiwanese, Chinese, Greek, Egyptian, Indian, Classical, etc. Well, right after listening to TVXQ's 'HiYaYa' would you have guessed that H.O.T.'s 'We Are the Future' played? I was like o.O! It was eerie and saddening at the same time. Two of South Korea's greatest groups...having to go through almost the same perdicament...under the same company. My eyes were beginning to water because of that. Ah~! How I wish things would get better for them...
Well, that is all for now. Peace~!
Thanks for sharing! I agree to everything you say. YF
