Is There Anything to Be Upset About?

Just as the title says, I am currently wondering to myself if there is really anything for me to be upset about.  "What is it?" you ask?  Well...

Last night, I read some incoming tweets saying that Telisha Shaw (one of the background dancers for JYJ's first world tour) changed her Twitter name from 'telishashaw' to 'telisu_official' (I think that's how it's spelled), and her username used to be 'telixiah'.  Apparently it is quite obvioius which member she has a liking for.  ^^;;  As usual, some fans got really upset, and some fans said they'd praise it if Junsu and Telisha actually dated.  Heh...I was actually one of the former.  Yes, I did get rather upset.  My reason:  Because she has a far better chance of actually dating him because she is in closer contact than any of the other Junsu-biased girls will ever be.  That, and I have a friend who is Junsu-biased, and it makes me feel sad that she'd never get to him if this is true.  However, with that last reason...she isn't as crazy-obsessed as I am, so she may not even care--which is a good thing I guess--unless she hides it so well.  I know alot of fans attach their bias' name to their username (i.e.- *insert member's name here* wifey) but I feel that this time around, I can see where the fans are coming from.  Heck, what would you do if it was YOUR bias that a famous lady--who is quite close to him--was attaching to her username on any website?  The only thing with that is that fans should speak out in a nice fashion.  That means no threatening Telisha's life or whatnot.  She's acutally a cool person (she even tweeted me!).  Thus I wonder to myself: "Why should I even be upset?  It's not Changmin she's after."

My mother did say that this could've all been done just to get JYJ more publicity.  It may be bad, but to get their name known and stuff...and for fans to buy tickets to see if it's true.  Maybe she likes him like that, maybe she doesn't.  I know Junsu may never tell us anything about this.  I wonder if he even knows.  Ah...what do you think?  :o

Well, that is pretty much it for this post.  Sorry for the rant, but this is '~Myndless Thoughts~' after all.

Showing Love to My Other Favorite Asian Groups: Twelve Girls Band

Today I come with a group that is neither from Japan or South Korea.  These twelve (actually thirteen) lovely ladies hail from mainland China.  They are some of the finest ladies in the art of playing the traditional Chinese instruments, and the idea of forming a band came to one man with the inspiration of doing something like this.  They are supposed to be like an ensemble that you would have seen if you were living in the Tang Dynasty of ancient China.  I don't know how well-known they are, but they have toured the U.S. and have been in Japan for Budokan.

The style of music that the Twelve Girls Band plays is mainly classical Chinese songs with a bit of a modern twist to it.  They do play a few Western songs as well, and those turn out nicely as well.  Take 'Clocks' for example.  I really like how it sounds...almost like the original from Coldplay.

My sister and I have collected 3 of their albums: Eastern Energy, Romantic Energy, and Freedom.  However, there are more albums out there that I have yet to collect.  I would recommend you listen to their musci as it is quite soothing.  Perfect for when you want to get away from all the stress, try something new, or simply jump out of Kpop for the day.  >_<  A few of my favorite songs from them would be:
  • Alamuhan
  • Carnival
  • Clocks
  • Dunhuang
  • Forbidden City
  • Freedom (a popular one)
  • The Great Valley
  • A Girl's Dream
  • Horse Racing
  • Jasmine
  • Life on Clouds (makes you feel like you are flying through the clouds)
  • Ruten
  • Shangri-La
  • Tang Court Ensemble
  • Thanks for the Living Years
Well...that looks like a good chunk of the list of songs I have from them.  ^^;;  While most people may be a little leery of China right now, I don't think that should be any reason to not be loving some of the wonderful things to come out of this great nation.

That's all for this post.  Peace out~!

Running Out of Time?!

Well, today I come with a short rant/spazz.  Of course this thought must be running through your mind if you follow my blog:  "Oh geez...another Changmin post, right?"  BINGO!  This post may sound very much like the other posts I have about him, but there are a few differences, you'll see...

As the days of my life flutter by, I oftentimes notice that I am not doing anything productive *coughlikefindingajobcoughcough*.  I will admit that I am quite lazy when it comes to looking for one.  Heck, I had a whole year to search since graduating from junior college.  But now it seems like I must find one very soon.  Not only for me to actually start my life as being independant from family, but also for Changmin.  "Why Changmin..." you ask?  Well, aside from the increase in his bias fans and recent magazine shoots he's done (which are suspiciously about weddings), two things that Changmin said had caught my attention.  During HoMin's interview in 'Taxi', Changmin had said:

1) He'd like to move out
2) He'd like to marry before 30

Now, the moving out part is somewhat good.  If he does move out from under Yunho, he'll be experiencing independence for the first time like I will in the near future (hopefully).  I remember him saying in an interview a few months ago that he wanted to give Yunho some space...especially if Yunho brought a girl over.  That would be a kind gesture, but Yunho may need Changmin just a little longer (since Yunho is a bit messy these days, lol).  But after I read that Changmin was thinking about moving out, I was like "Wait, NO!!!"  Because if he moved out, he also wouldn't  have to worry about any disturbances when he brings a girl over.

I remember him saying that he'd like to marry by 30, so I was like "Okay.  I've got like...7 years."  I was hoping to meet him by then.  But now he wants to marry BEFORE he turns that age.  This means that it can be anywhere from now until then.  O.O;;  I know his reason for saying this is because he's thinking of how hard it may be for a woman to conceive after that time.  It is nice of him to think about the health of his future wife and children, but I think that there would still be time after 30 to conceive.  In fact, I think after 40 is when it gets harder.

Showing Love to My Other Favorite Kpop Groups: Big Bang

So, I just got through listening to Big Bang's "Lies" a few moments ago, and it made me think about how awesome this song is!  XD  Then I also realized that I haven't been talking about the other Kpop groups that I listen to.  Most of the posts I've done so far have been about my ever favorite group, TVXQ.  So, I've decided that every now and then, you will see a post for another Kpop (or Jpop) group.

Today's group is, of course Big Bang.

Their February 2011 comeback.  Looking good, guys!
Name: Big Bang
Members: (from L to R) Lee Seunghyun (Seungri, V.I.), Kwon Jiyoung (G-Dragon, GD), Dong Youngbae (Taeyang, SoL), Kang Daesung (D-Lite), Choi Seunghyun (T.O.P.)
Fanbase: VIP
Fancolor: Black and White bandana or golden crowns

How did I come across them?  Well, it is all thanks to Youtube.  I believe it was some time after getting into Kpop when I started discovering groups, and I think Big Bang was my third group to come across.  Actually it is a funny story.  The video I began to watch was called "We Belong Together".  Now, I thought it was a group doing a rendition of Mariah Carey's song with the same title.  But it wasn't.  My reaction:  O.O;;  "What is this?!"  I was seeing Asian guys that reminded me of rappers.  I'm not much of a rap person, so I didn't watch all of it.  Of course over the next few months, I did watch a few videos of theirs here and there.  I believe the first one I actually sat through and watched all the way was "Dirty Cash".

That song is so~ hilarious!  I believe that is when I started actually noticing them.  Now, I know a little about them, and they made it a little easier for me to listen to rap (funny, huh?).  I was also really impressed with their English in the song "With U".  I believe that they weren't as popular at first, but then "Lies" came out, and then their popularity skyrocketed.

As of now, I can't really say I have a member I ogle over.  But I do consider G-Dragon my home dog (see that gangster talk of mine?  >_<)  The reason behind that is because he and I share the exact same birthday!  We grow together, lol.

Lately, I haven't been keeping up with Big Bang.  I know they had a few releases since the last time I've actually looked up something on them.  I do like that Japanese song they did, "Koi wo Kikasete~Let Me Hear Your Voice".  It sounds so beautiful!  I did take a look at their recent song, "Tonight", but it didn't quite stick.  Some fans say that "Stupid Liar" is really good, so I should check that one out.
All in all, Big Bang is a really good group.  They've done quite a bit of solo work and I am glad that they are still going strong despite being out of the limelight for quite a long time.  I may not be a die-hard VIP, but I shall try to keep up with them as well as the other groups I follow.    Big Bang, hwaiting!

AADBSK3 Makes Me Think: "Why Did It Happen to Them"?

Hooray!  I finally got a dvd boxset of TVXQ!  Which one is it?  AADBSK3~!  I am very greatful for a friend who has so graciously bought it for me.  For the past two days, my sister and I have been watching all the disks.  We managed to finish it within those two days, and now we're watching it again.  ^.^

Today, my post talks about some of the things that they've said on the dvds.  It is really interesting.  After watching the "Couple Talks" and listening to their answers, it made me think...were their answers premonitions of things to come?  Right now, I can't think of some direct quotes that the members said.  But I know that  most of the things they were saying things like they hoped that the team would last long and that they knew each other so well.  Certain parts that I can remember was their interactions during the "Saipan Story" and their "Making of..." videos.  It was a walk down memory lane watching them in the making of their "Vacation" mini dramas.  I do remember (just now) one particular scene in the "Couple Talk" of the HoSu couple where Yunho and Junsu were talking about how all the members were now becoming quite concerned on the future of TVXQ.  They said that it wasn't a big thing to worry about before, but as the years progressed, they began to talk about it more and more.  But as I watched these videos, it made me think:  "Man...I rea~lly hope they come back together.  It makes me sad how they had to break up like this."  :(  It's like that feeling where you don't know how much you miss it until it's gone.  All in all, I am really glad that I have this dvd boxset, and I'll treasure it forever because it is a section in time that was really special.

Now onto the second part of my post...

I'm sure most Cassies nowadays are aware that the members are suffering.  But with what I have read about Jaejoong and Yunho recently, I'm still quite concerned.  In a recent interview that Jaejoong has had, he says that he cures his lonliness with music and other activities.  Yunho seems to have become more messy.  It's like he's lost in  a fog.  I'm sure all members had a really hard time since the beginning of this whole fiasco.  And for a while, I thought that they were okay in the months that followed.  But the recent interviews (especially Jaejoong's) just made me really sad to hear how they are feeling.  However, I have a thought on Yunho's thoughts on the seperation.  I know that he wants to keep the TVXQ name alive, and that is why he probably stayed with SM.  But I think that if the two could have left with the other three, they'd still do well outside of SM...even if it meant leaving the name behind.  Now, I know some fans will disagree with me on this, and say that "Even if they left, where would they go?  SM was the best."  I'd have to disagree.  If we Cassies are continuously praising the members for their exceptional skill, then shouldn't they be able to do well in whatever entertainment label they're under?  Like I said before, yeah, SM brought them to where they are now...and they can praise SM for doing so (much like Hangeng did during a magazine interview after his lawsuit).  But I don't know if they should really continue under them anymore.  ^^;;  All I know is that it must be very tough, but I guess that this is how it goes when artists grow.  But I really hope that things go for the better...and hopefully they'll come back together again.  Like I've said before:  if you ever think about wanting to become a celebrity (especially a Kpop celebrity), it would be best to think and rethink it over in your mind before you are ready.

Well, that concludes my post for today.  I hope I made some sense.  I just wanted to give you all some food for thought...even though this subject has been debated over and over again.  But now I am starting to feel that TVXQ has been through so much that I think no other group has been through.

Jealous Much? & A Racy Issue

Admit it.  As a fangirl (or fanboy), you've experienced a fit of jealousy when you see your bias getting close--or your perception of getting close--to a person of the opposite gender.  This may be worse if the bias is a really popular one and the fan has a strong emotional attachment to them.  Such is the case with Jonghyun's ShaWols when they found out about him dating Shin Sekyung.  Many were very upset, and probably still are.  This tends to be the reaction of most fans with comments like "OMG~!  I'm so jealous!  I wish I was that girl/guy!"  However, in the case of Shindong (who is actually going to marry his girlfriend...someday) many fans weren't as upset.  This may be because he's not the most favorite member like Donghae or Siwon, so most fans tend to congratulate.
Being a fan of TVXQ--one of the most popular S. Korean male groups--I hear comments of jealousy quite often.  Most often though, I pay it no mind.  Maybe it is because it is not my bias, Changmin, that is in that situation.  I had also told myself that I wouldn't be some jealous chick and stoop myself to the level of fans that go all insane if they see their oppa with another woman.  But when Changmin is involved...that previous thought kind of goes out the window.  ^^;;  However, I don't want to induce physical harm on her.  It just gives me the feeling that I'm never going to get that close to Changmin whenever he's involved with a girl.  It's happened a few times:  when he admitted he's already kissed (back in 2008), the rumor of him not being a virgin (also back in 2008 when I heard it), when he's had a girlfriend for 10 months (some recent interview).  Then there are the actual interactions he's had with female stars that he looked close with.  It was rather difficult to watch 'Paradise Ranch' I must admit, but I made it...kissing scenes and all.  Then he started doing a few photoshoots with Lee Yeonhee, his co-star.  And then just today, I saw pics from the SBS show called 'Heroes'.  I think I could have had the mindset to not really mind it so much, but when comments like "I (wor)ship Changmin and __________" or "I wouldn't mind if they got married" start to show up, then I get upset at the whole concept.  Here is some pictures of today's latest Changmin spazz/downer:

Such A Sweet Video...

While searching for a good Maaya Sakamoto song to let some people of Facebook listen to, I instantly thought of the song, "No Fear~Aisuru Koto" (I suggest you all listen to this one).  So while typing it in, this is the first video I clicked because this person took the time to put the song with the ideas of helping Japan.  It is such a sweet video, and I think you all should take a look at it.  Please enjoy~!

Happy Belated Birthday, Maaya Sakamoto!

I am a day late on this (two days if you go by Japan time), but I'd like to wish my favorite Japanese songstress a Happy Birthday!  On March 31st, Maaya-san turned 31.  I was thinking about spamming my Facebook and my Twitter with everything Maaya related, but I didn't.  Then I was going to make a post for her, but I didn't either; hence, my post today.
